Lions activities in 2008
This page shows some of the activities that the Troop took part in in 2008.
- December 2008
- The Scouts and Explorers raised money towards Czech Republic with a festive bagpacking at Sainsbury's.
- The Scouts dressed for the part as they enjoyed a themed evening about James Bond, complete with cocktails - shaken not stirred.
- October 2008
- A small group of Scouts enjoyed another sailing day, trying their hand with different craft.
- The Lions joined together with the Explorers for another great walking and climbing trip to Gradbach, in the Peak District.
- September 2008
- Some of the Scouts enjoyed the good weather as they paddled on the Chelmer and Blackwater canal.
- August 2008
- A coachload of Scouts, Cubs and Explorers enjoyed enjoyed a thrilling but exhausting day at Thorpe Park at the end of the holidays.
- July 2008
- 21 Scouts enjoyed a week of activities at the Essex Jamboree. Thanks goes to those parents that helped look after them during the week.
- June 2008
- Twelve of the Lions Scouts enjoyed a paddle down the Chelmer and Blackwater Canal on the canoe trip.
- Some of the Scouts and Explorers enjoyed a day of archery at the county David Clare competition.
- May 2008
- The Scouts and Explorers take part in some more bagpacking this time at Tescos.
- March 2008
- The Scouts try their hand at ten-pin bowling.
- The Scouts and Explorers take part in some fundraising by bagpacking at Sainsburys.
- February 2008
- The Scouts, older Cubs and a few of the Explorers enjoyed another Nuclear Bunker Sleepover.
- January 2008
- Four of the older Scouts joined with the Explorers to start the new year getting muddy at Winter Camp 2008.
