Danbury Fireworks - November 2005

Heybridge Scout Group was offered the task of parking one or two cars at this years Danbury Scouts fireworks display. Seemed like a good idea to raise funds towards the Scout camp in 2006.

6 adults and 6 youngsters (5 Scouts 1 Cub) braved the evening air and took the challenge of fitting a quart into a pint pot. Kitted out in fluorescent tabards and warm clothing they set to the task. All went well until the cars arrived. No I jest. ALL persons in our carpark worked extremely well. Not having done the exercise before most of the cars were in by 8ish. Despite the organisers reluctance in closing the main gates!! Better still only one person got stuck in the mud on departure (sorry it was me!!)

The youngsters saw the fireworks and had a hotdog afterwards and all the cars got off home safely. Well done everybody.
