St.Georges Day Celebration, Family Fun Day - April 2009

In a change from the usual St.Georges Day parade, this year the Group combined the annual renewal of promises with a family fun day with the theme of St. George. The weather was sunny as all sections of the group together with their families joined together to enjoy a range of activities. The group also welcomed members of 1st Tiptree Scouts to join them. Activities ranged from crafts and model painting, stocks, giant games and many more. Mid afternoon saw the more serious side of the day when all of the sections renewed their promises. For those that were feeling hungry or thirsty, burgers, cakes and refreshments were also available. A great day was had by all. Thanks also go to 4th Epping Scouts for the loan of some of the activities.
