Mile of Pennies - November 2005

Saturday morning saw 3 Scouts, 3 Cubs and 3 Leaders braving the autumn sunshine in front of All Saints Church in Maldon High Street. A large collage was placed on the ground and the youngsters had to cover the picture with money donations from the public. Silver and copper were accepted and was laid out to a pattern of their own. 10p around the edge and pennies to fill in with. They were there from 9 to 1 and had a very busy time telling people about Scouting in Heybridge. A total of £100.40 was raised and a lot of fun was had.
