JOTI / JOTA - October 2005

14 Cubs and Scouts joined in this years JOTI/JOTA weekend on 15th - 16th October, (Jamboree On The Internet/Jamboree On The Airwaves). Once again thanks to Dan Sutton ADC scouts for East Essex and Scout Leader with Silver End who organised the whole affair. Heybridge supported by running a base to make crystal radios, whilst another two leaders "womaned" the refreshment bar. A good time was had by all the youngsters. Bases available were, a radio hike, T shirt design and printing, music making on the computer as well as amateur radio and of course the internet chat lines. These were monitored very carefully by the adults but still ended up with Scouts talking to each other across the room by computer!!!!
