Sixers and Seconders Camp - September 2005

This years annual Sixers and Seconders camp was voted a huge success again. 9 young people started the day by WALKING from Paper Mill lock to the Benbridge part of the canal. Not one moan or complaint. Luxury. They then proceeded to erect their own tents and laid the kit out. Surprising how much they need for one nights camp. Dinner is then prepared. This time not by magic but by their own fair hands (clean of course). Apart from it being "Cowboy Stew" nobody went hungry. The evening was spent around the camp fire telling ghost stories and none rude jokes. Bed time was bliss with them wanting to go to bed by 10.30. Morning found them around the camp fire making breakfast of bacon wrapped around a sausage and placed in tinfoil and delicately placed into the fire. To compliment this there was fried potatoes and BEANS. Followed by some strange looking toast. All was washed away and the car loaded and not a complaint. The leaders said that they all could come again next year!!!!!!
