Welcome to the Heybridge Explorer Scout Unit section of the website.
The Heybridge Explorer Scout Unit meets on a Tuesday night under the leadership of the Explorer Scout Leader (ESL).
At present the unit has 16 young male and female members.
Recent activities
- July 2008
- 6 Explorers enjoyed a week of activities at the Essex Jamboree. They did manage to survive the week despite catering for themselves!
- June 2008
- Some of the Scouts and Explorers enjoyed a day of archery at the county David Clare competition.
- May 2008
- The Scouts and Explorers take part in some more bagpacking this time at Tescos.
- March 2008
- The Scouts and Explorers take part in some fundraising by bagpacking at Sainsburys.
- January 2008
- The Explorers and four of the older Scouts started the new year getting muddy at Winter Camp 2008.
- December 2007
- The Scouts and Explorers spend their last evening of the year toboganning where three of the Explorers got invested at the top of the toboggan run.
- November 2007
- The Scouts and Explorers spend an evening at the Writtle Agricultural College for the challenge of the climbing wall.
- October 2007
- The weather was not as good as last year but the Scouts and Explorers still enjoyed this years Peak District Trip. Thanks to all the members of ESMAT team who gave their time to make the trip possible.
- September 2007
- Two of the Explorers took the canadian canoe as they joined the Scouts on their last Canoe Trip of the year on the Chelmer and Blackwater Canal. Thanks to all the leaders who also gave up their time.
- August 2007
- Ten Explorers got presented with their District Explorer Scout scarves whilst on this years international trip to Hungary.
