Cubs Sixer and Seconders Camp - September 2015

On Saturday 12th Sept, 8 Cubs, 2 Young Leaders and 4 Leaders, set out on foot from Paper Mill Lock, with a 6 mile walk along the banks of the Chelmer and Blackwater canal. Along the way the Cubs learned a bit about weirs and how the canal came about. Once we arrived at the Church Ground in Heybridge the Cubs had a short break before erecting their own tents. Then had a bit of free time before cooking their dinner of Sixers Supreme!!!, finally came the washing up. Later in the evening they toasted marshmallows on the fire with a quiz before bed. The morning found them cooking their breakfast - toast and pigs in blankets!!, on the embers of the fire. After packing away the tents and equipment there was still time for a team game followed by some sixer and seconder training and told what their role is in the Cub Pack.
