Cubs Sixers and Seconders Camp - September 2014

9.30 on the morning of Saturday 13th Sept, saw 2 Sixers and 3 Seconders, set off from Tesco car park, and followed the old Maldon to Witham Railway line, to Wickham Bishops. Along the way the Cubs participated in a spot of geocaching which was enjoyed by all. We arrived at Prances at about 2.30, where the Cubs after a rest started to prepare and cook dinner. While dinner was cooking they put their tents up and made their beds for the night. The evening was spent round the campfire toasting marshmallows.

Sunday saw the Cubs having breakfast and making toast over the fire. The bags were then packed and tents taken down. The Cubs had a spare half an hour free time before learning what there role was as a Sixer or Seconder; they also learnt how to fold their scarves and flag correctly and how to lead our opening and closing ceremony. After lunch the Cubs had a conker competition before being collected at 2.30.
