Cub Camp - July 2005

47 Cub Scouts from 1st Heybridge camped at Thriftwood over the weekend July 1st to 3rd. The theme for this year was "Knights of the Round Table". To keep this number of Cubs happy we had a wide range of activities including Rafting, Climbing and Abseiling ,Assault Course, Backwoods Cooking, Laser Guns, Rifles and Crossbows. On the Sunday we had - in keeping with the theme of the camp - a Grand Tournament including jousting and horseback (piggyback) rides. To provide this level of activity takes a very strong leadership team, and so we had 24 Leaders and parent helpers. This was another hugely successful camp, and all the children and leaders thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
