Welcome to the 1st Heybridge Scout Group website.
At 1st Heybridge Scout Group we have a very thriving group consisting of about 180 members consisting of Leaders and boys and girls of ages ranging between 6 and 18 in very active Beaver, Cub and Scout Sections. Beavers for ages 6 to 8, Cubs from 8 to 10½, Scouts from 10½ to 14 and Young Leaders (Explorers) from 14 to 18. We welcome both Boys and Girls to all our sections.

Latest News
- On the 20th June, 43 Cubs, Scouts and Leaders, headed off bright and early, for a day trip to the Historic Dockyard in Chatham.
- In a change from the usual St.Georges Day parade, this year the Group combined the annual renewal of promises with a family fun day with the theme of St. George.
- The day before the St.Georges Family Fun Day saw eleven Scouts and two Explorers hiking around Prances campsite before camping overnight.
- The last Saturday in February saw 6 PL's and APL's on a training day at Prances campsite.
- Saturday 14th March had 7 Cubs, 2 Beavers and 1 Scout tracking around the common at Danbury.
- The first week after the half term break saw both Cub Packs competing at their annual Top Six Competition.
- The last Sturday in February saw the Scouts enjoy a Sleepover at Cressing Temple Barns.
- 60 Scouts, Cubs, and Beavers enjoyed a visit to Maldon Pantomime.
- Tuesday the 20th January saw the Leopards invite their parent/Guardian along to experience a little Scouting.
- Some of the more hardy Explorers and older Scouts braved the cold on the second weekend in January at this years Winter Camp at Gilwell Park.
